I use this everyday, and I don't think I could live without it. Sounds a bit extreme, but I used to wear a watch everyday until the one I had broke, and I never cared to repair it. This mixes two things that I wanted - Style and Wanting to have a device that partners with my phone to easy access.

    What it won't do:
-conduct phone calls through the phone.
-browse the web via a dedicated browser
    -type with a dedicated keyboard

    What it will do:
-Show all notifications that you receive on your phone.
-Be able to dismiss these or reply with a quick message via voice.
-Control music from almost any music player on your phone. I've found this to be very useful while in the car, or at the gym.
-Useful for many health features. Heart rate, pedometer, and calories.
    -And of course Tell Time.

Many users are still making apps on the Play store, so there is still time for future advancements. I've found that the InstaWeather app is very useful. Its free, gives you some great looking watch faces, and gives you accurate weather on the fly.

    What is it
The moto 360 is the first circular watch to run android wear. In general it is a way to receive notification without pulling your phone out of your pocket. It can also be a very nifty fitness tracker and a pretty decent watch. In short its google now on your wrist.

    What it isnt
This isnt a stand alone watch. if you are looking for a watch just to be a watch you may want to look elsewhere. The moto 360 also isn’t the Power Ranger intercom that we always wanted from the 90’s so no you can’t make a phone call from it and talk to your wrist.

    What’s Hot
    Design and craftsmanship
    Performance
    Fast Charge times
Qi wireless charging & Comes with a Charging dock
The Ambient Noise canceling is amazing

    What’s Not
Stock charger cable takes a lot longer to charge the watch
The price is a tad daunting for what it is. (An accessory)
Battery life is on average 18 hours ambient mode off
    Processor is a tad dated

    Specs:
TI OMAP 3 Chipset, 512MB Ram, 4GB of built in Storage
    1.56” LCD Display, 320 x 290, 205 ppi, Gorilla Glass 3
    320mAh battery
Qi Wireless charging w/ bundled cradle
    46mm in diameter, 11.5mm thick
    iP67 Rating
    Genuine Leather band
    Bluetooth 4.0 LE
    Dual Microphone Setup
    Heart-rate monitor & Pedometer
    Android Wear
    Lightweight design 49g

    Build Quality: 4.5
“Moto 360 Stays true to the timeless form of the classic wristwatch. A round design maximizes the display area, while ensuring a comfortable fit.
Each material has been carefully chosen and meticulously crafted - from stainless steel case, to Horween® leather bands, and scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass.” - Motorola

In other words, this thing is awesome. I have used the motorola 360 in a variety of situations and it came through like a champ without any hiccups. I’ve taken it to work with me which at times could be a lot of heavy labor, and its still in top form. You will turn heads wearing this watch. People will also ask you if thats the new “iWatch”...

People who don’t own the watch seem to complain about the flat tire look of the circular display, and honestly I did as well. I can gladly say now that it really isn’t an issue. It really does disappear and you won’t notice it after a hour or two.

    Features: 4.5
Out of the box you get all the bells and whistles of all the standard smart watches out there. There are some things that they could have done differently which i expect will be done in the next iteration. (OLED display, Larger Battery, & more efficient processor)

    Battery Life / Performance: 4
Like most devices it is normally hit or miss depending on how you use it. In ambient mode i got like 12 hours with moderate use. Ambient mode off I get like 18 to 20 hours. Stuff like Navigation will drain your battery way faster. This can most likely be fixed via google maps update. but we’ll have to wait and see.

Before the most recent update, Performance would chugg every now and then. That isn’t really the issue now. The Moto 360 works just as good as any other smartwatch out there.

    Price: 4.5
Motorola hit the sweet spot where price is concerned. 250 for the base model is just right if you ask me. Actually I predicted that it would cost this. I remember after it was announced people were arguing with me on the internet stating that, this is a premium device and it will come with a premium price of 350+. Honestly why would anyone pay more for a phone accessory than they do for a actual phone? It isn’t exactly a designer timepiece like a Rolex, Citizen, or Movado watch either. In the end 250 was the right prices.

    Average (Amazon): 4.1

    Final Thoughts:
I have had my Moto 360 for 3 months and thought that I would eventually regret my purchase. In reality its kind of the opposite. Once you realize what android wear is for, everything just sorta flows. If works out really good for me because I really can’t just pull out my phone while working on the job, yet i get all my notifications at a glance. I can also respond to texts, etc. Navigation is so much easier when you don’t have to look away from the road or have a robotic voice interrupt your music. Directions on your wrist is a awesome idea. Android wear was made for fitness and it works really good via the Moto 360, though i wish you can have all the features you get on the watch available on your smartphone (google fit stats, moto body stats, checking heart rate, etc.). Android Wear will continue to grow with updates and i hope the Moto 360, will continue to improve as well.

    Recommendation:
If you want a smart watch and don’t want to spend a mint on the incoming apple watch, the Moto 360 is still readily available. Android Wear will soon support iOS too so apple... Read more

    5.0 out of 5 stars Great High-End Smart Watch at a Low-End Price!, December 3, 2016

This review is from: Motorola Moto 360 Modern Timepiece Smart Watch - Black Leather 00418NARTL (Personal Computers)
So I was originally going to purchase the Samsung Gear until I found out they don't use the Android Wear os. So I went and looked into some of the other options available, and I instantly decided the Moto was one of the top options. For those who have never owned an Android watch, the cheaper ones have the same options as the more expensive ones for the most part, they just have a little cheaper parts. When I saw this watch on sale for $90, I jumped on the opportunity.

Display: The display is actually very high quality on this watch. It gets very bright and has surprisingly good details for such a small screen. And with access to the Android Wear store, there's tons of available watch faces

Battery: So the battery life is actually pretty decent, and can easily last through the whole day if you're just using it to check notifications, get reminders, and other basic functions. However, and this is a pretty big concern for a lot of people including myself, the watch face stays black unless you look at it. So in other words, you don't really get to take advantage of all the amazing watch faces that make the phone look so stylish, which to me was one of the biggest appeals. There are ways to make your watch face stay on, but even at the lowest brightness, it'll die in just a few hours. If you turn the brightness up, you'll be lucky to make it an hour. However, this happens with any watch and is to be expected. Being the size of a watch, they can't fit a big battery in there. And not even a phone can stay on with full brightness for very long, so I can't dock a star for this.

Functions: Like I said earlier, you get Android Wear, and to me this is a great perk. You can check text messages, send text messages, check notifications from just about any app, read Facebook messages, set reminders, caldendar events, write notes, record things like a lecture or meeting, see incoming calls, etc. Most things that can be done on your phone can be done here, and while some may find it unnecessary, anyone who has a busy schedule, or just doesn't like to take their phone out every time they get a notification will love it.

Design: I love the overall design personally. I think it looks great, and you can personalize it with whatever watch band you prefer. The only thing I dislike about it is that it's a little thick, and it's on the bigger side in size as well, so it might look weird on someone with small wrists. Overall, I like it more than most smart watches.

Overall: I am really impressed by this watch and think it's better than most watches that cost twice as much. It isn't the most high quality, and some people may want to go with the 2nd gen, but I think you get most of the same features even though this is getting on the older side. If you're on the fence about getting a smart watch, jump on this opportunity while it's still at this price!
