2.0 out of 5 stars For daily use, not as durable as expected., December 16, 2015

I like to review products after some time and usage has passed, because longevity for me is important in the rating of any product.

I purchased this strap 6 months ago, and I use it *every day*. I attach it to a protective case for my smartphone, and wear it diagonally across my torso, like a little purse. So, basically, I am the limit case for a strap like this in terms of durability.

After 6 months of usage, it has ripped where the shoulder pad is sewn into the strap. See picture.

I think that if you will be attaching this to a camera and use it once a month, it will last much longer. But if you are looking to get some heavy duty use out of it, it is not as durable as expected. Especially if your camera is very heavy--my phone is a lightweight compared to some cameras out there.

I was quite pleased for the 6 months I have used it, however.

I'd been looking for a neck strap for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS19 for a while. I'd seen other straps but most of them had connectors that were too big for this camera (very very compact). So, when I saw this one with the mini connector, I thought, maybe this will work. I was a little concerned when it arrived because the mini connector cord was thicker than the one on the wrist strap. However, with a little ingenuity I did get it on my camera (used some heavy duty thread to pull it thru the small hole where the wrist strap goes with some maneuvering back and forth till it slipped past the bend in the cord). Now I can comfortably put the camera around my neck or crossbody when I am walking around and not constantly have to hold it in my hand.. And you can disconnect the neck strap from the mini connector if you don't want to bother with it around your neck (or if you have more than one camera and want to use it for another one - though you'll need another mini connector for the other camera).

I bought this for my tiny, compact Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II and so far it has been great. It has survived a trip to the beach and two all-day music festivals this month, so no complaints. I personally wouldn't use it for a heavier camera, as I'm not sure I'd completely trust how sturdy it would be with an expensive piece of equipment.
